What is Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS)

Before going aboard for employment, Filipino domestic helpers have to take an online seminar, namely the Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS), which is required by the Department of Migrant Workers – DMW (formerly Philippine Overseas Employment Agency – POEA). Workers have to pass the assessment test and obtain the certification of completion to ensure that they have enough information about working abroad.

The pre-employment orientation seminar is FREE. There are 8 modules, each with an assessment test that takes around 7 minutes on average and a total of 42 minutes to finish. After completing all modules, domestic helper applicants will receive a PEOS Certificate through their email which must be submitted to employment agencies to start your application.

The PEOS certificate is required in applying for the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) from the Department of Migrant Workers, which serves as travel exit clearance for Overseas Filipino workers.
