This is<strong> FREE<\/strong> for domestic worker applicants and other overseas Filipino workers.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar is specific to region or country, meaning there are different seminars for different domestic work destinations. These seminars are facilitated by people who have previously worked in those destination countries. The program <strong>takes 6 hours in a day <\/strong>to finish. PDOS provides modules about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>migration facts<\/li>\n<li>destination country culture and facts;<\/li>\n<li>labor law, rights, and employment contract;<\/li>\n<li>health and safety;<\/li>\n<li>financial literacy and practices;<\/li>\n<li>government programs and services available for OFWs; and<\/li>\n<li>travel procedures and advice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2737\" data-end=\"2772\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_Needs_to_Attend_PDOS\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"2743\" data-end=\"2772\">Who Needs to Attend PDOS?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"2774\" data-end=\"3056\">\n<li data-start=\"2774\" data-end=\"2854\">\n<p data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2854\"><strong data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2799\">All first-time OFWs<\/strong>, including domestic helpers, are required to attend.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2855\" data-end=\"2978\">\n<p data-start=\"2857\" data-end=\"2978\">Some <strong data-start=\"2862\" data-end=\"2883\">returning workers<\/strong> may need PDOS again if they are going to a <em data-start=\"2927\" data-end=\"2940\">new country<\/em> (because PDOS is country-specific).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2979\" data-end=\"3056\">\n<p data-start=\"2981\" data-end=\"3056\">Helpers deployed through an <em data-start=\"3009\" data-end=\"3017\">agency<\/em> are usually scheduled automatically.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1484\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Is_PDOS_Important\"><\/span><strong data-start=\"1456\" data-end=\"1482\">Why Is PDOS Important?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1577\">Many helpers describe PDOS as their \u201cfirst real introduction\u201d to life abroad.
