Here is our easy-to-follow, 5-step guide to the mandatory orientation process for 2026.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Get_Your_%E2%80%9CEmployer_License%E2%80%9D_The_EOP\"><\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Step 1: Get Your &#8220;Employer License&#8221; (The EOP)<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Think of this as your &#8220;Welcome to Management&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mom.gov.sg\/passes-and-permits\/work-permit-for-foreign-domestic-worker\/eligibility-and-requirements\/employers-orientation-programme-eop#appointing-a-representative-to-attend-the-eop\">mandatory course<\/a>! If this is your first time hiring a <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"90\">domestic worker<\/b>, you\u2019ll need to complete the <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"135\">Employer Orientation Programme (EOP)<\/b>. It\u2019s actually quite helpful\u2014it covers your legal heart-to-hearts (like salary and rest days) and how to build a great relationship.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Your Choices:<\/b> You can do it <b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"28\">online<\/b> (about 2 hours for <b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"54\">S$46<\/b>) or attend a <b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"72\">classroom session<\/b> (about 3 hours for <b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"109\">S$35<\/b>) if you prefer a more personal touch.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Good to Know:<\/b> You only need to do this once! However, if you find yourself changing helpers frequently (more than 3 in a year), MOM might ask you to pop back in for a refresher.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that the Ministry of Manpower can decide at their discretion to send employers to this course a second time. This is generally the case if an employer has changed helpers frequently. For instance, if you have changed <strong>more than 3 FDWs within a 12-month period<\/strong>, and want to apply for another maid, you will likely need to enroll for the orientation programme again<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"11\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_Paperwork_Peace_of_Mind\"><\/span><b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Step 2: Paperwork &amp; Peace of Mind<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Once you\u2019ve got your EOP certificate, it\u2019s time to tell MOM the good news!
