HelperChoice is "a modern way of finding an employer".

Cynthia Abdon-Tellez, general manager of the Mission for Migrant Workers, June 2015

It was very easy to create a profile and search for helpers. It's not expensive and the database is full of names, so you can find someone quickly.

Employer Jeanne Hauguel, June 2015

With the website, I can choose from different employers and interact with them. It's easier for both sides.

The List

I met my fourth employer through HelperChoice. I didn’t really have a hard time adjusting to Hong Kong in the beginning because I worked previously in Singapore for four months. For me, the working experience is most important. I don’t want to be working with an employer who nags. I want to be working from my heart and with love. I didn’t really encounter any problems with my previous employers, except for the contract that I terminated. This was because I had to wash all the clothes by hand, even during winter. I broke the contract after one year, and looked for another employer through HelperChoice.

Faidza Utto from the Philippines yesterday became the 5,000th person to be served by HelperChoice, a website set up in 2012 by French woman Laurence Fauchon, who learnt about the unfair agency system when she employed a maid in Hong Kong after the birth of her child. I am so very thankful to have found my wonderful British family through HelperChoice. HelperChoice is such a good way to find an employer. I didn’t pay any placement fees and the processing is much faster than going through an agency. I can’t believe I’m finally here in Hong Kong!
