House keeper

General expectations
• Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic home in all agreed areas.
• Use appropriate cleaning products for each surface and check before using anything new.
• Work efficiently and independently, asking if anything is unclear.
• Report any damage, maintenance issues, or low supplies (for example bin bags, cleaning sprays).

Whole home duties (each visit)
• Vacuum and/or sweep all floors and rugs.
• Mop hard floors where needed (kitchen, bathrooms, other tiled or wood areas).
• Dust all reachable surfaces: shelves, tables, TV unit, window sills, skirting boards as reasonable.
• Wipe down visible marks on doors, light switches, and handles.
• Empty all rubbish bins in the cleaned areas and replace liners.

Kitchen duties
• Wipe and disinfect all countertops and tables.
• Wipe the outside of appliances (fridge doors, oven front, microwave exterior, dishwasher front, etc.).
• Clean the stovetop and microwave inside and out, including light scrubbing if there are spills.
• Clean and disinfect the kitchen sink and taps.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
(Adjust depending on what you want:)
• Either: "Do not wash dishes."
• Or: "Wash any dishes in the sink and leave them to dry."

Bathroom duties
• Clean and disinfect toilets (inside bowl, seat, base, and surrounding area).
• Clean and disinfect sinks, taps, and countertops.
• Clean mirrors and any glass surfaces.
• Clean showers and/or bathtubs, including walls, glass, and fixtures as reachable.
• Sweep and mop bathroom floors.
• Empty bathroom bins and replace liners.

Living areas and bedrooms
• Dust all furniture surfaces (tables, TV unit, bedside tables, dressers).
• Dust accessible skirting boards and window sills.
• Wipe down visible marks on furniture where appropriate.
• Vacuum rugs and carpets; vacuum or sweep floors, then mop hard floors.
• Make the beds neatly; change bed linen if clean sheets are left out on the bed.
