I am looking for a replacement for my current male caregiver. I have MOM's written pre-existing (doctor's letter from public hospital) to employ a male Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW) caregiver. The male caregiver will care for elderly disabled man.
Here are the work requirements below.
Patient Condition
Stroke, completely paralyzed
Age: 78
Weight: 78kg
Height: 1.75m
Caregiver needs to be younger than 35 years old and able to safely carry the patient from wheelchair to commode and assist the patient during physiotherapy
Requirements for Caregiver
1) At least 1.6m
2) At least 60kg
3) Below 35 years old
4) Possess valid passport and ready to leave country
5) Accept 1 rest day per month
6) Physically fit
7) Possess valid nursing aide/ caregiver certificate
8) Can accept night shift duty with sufficient rest given during the day
Job Responsibility/Job Description
· Empathetic, compassionate, punctual and committed to providing quality and reliable patient care
· Retrograde massage of hands and feet to address edema and swelling
· Assist patients with sit to stand, ambulation, manual transfer, massage and range of motion exercises
· Assist patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living—Toileting, showering, feeding, manual transfer, communication, feeding, meal preparation, night surveillance, bed turning)
· Night shift surveillance and retrograde massage for frequent leg cramps
Physical Fitness Interview by Physiotherapist (10 mins)
1) 30 Push Ups
2) 30 squats
3) Manual transfer of another 80kg patient
Physiotherapist will conduct short physical fitness interview before shortlisting candidate for next round.
Our team of physiotherapists and nurses to help with the preliminary video interviews. They will also help with on the job training for the male caregivers.
