Dear Employers, I am a Filipino Domestic Helper in Hong Kong since 1995. Over the years, I have built good relationships with all my past employers, and I still keep in touch with some of them. My second contract with my current employer is ending this month. Although we initially agreed to renew, they have decided to reduce my salary because their children are now teenagers and we have moved to a smaller apartment. Despite this, they describe me as hardworking, honest, and very dedicated. They would love for me to stay, but the salary offered would be lower than what we agreed after accommodation and food costs. My main duties include: • Housekeeping — keeping the home clean and organized • Laundry — washing clothes and ironing • Pet care — walking the dog twice daily • Cooking — preparing dinner, school lunch boxes, healthy snacks, fruits, and occasional baking • Gardening — caring for plants, some of which I planted myself • Grocery shopping — carrying groceries up to the 4th floor (without a lift), always with a smile and without complaint I am a happy and positive person. I am not perfect, but I always strive to learn from mistakes and improve. I am now hoping to find a family who values and understands a helper like me.
